is to reduce and prevent future suicides from occurring, to bring attention to the causes of suicide, to eliminate the stigma of suicide, and to support the
survivors of suicide victims.

As the region’s 988 suicide prevention hotline, Samaritans Southcoast helpline is free and open to anyone who needs support, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Samaritans Southcoast is accredited by the
International Council for Helplines and certified as a Service Enterprise by Points of Light.
